Housing Devices, Inc. (HDI) was established in 1978 to serve the building communications and security needs of commercial and multi-unit building developers, owners and managers.

Since introducing our first vandal proof 16 gauge stainless steel building intercom system, Housing Devices has expanded it’s range of products and services to help architects, engineers and building developers meet the “Area of Refuge” Emergency Call System requirements and specifications of the U.S. Government’s American Disabilities Act (ADA).

HDI also offers architectural products for developers of “luxury” buildings. Our Solid Brass line of intercom lobby panels and luxurious vertical mailboxes for apartment and office buildings, (with or without integrated intercoms), building directories, and other brass access control systems provide security and peace of mind to residents while enhancing any building’s lobby or public areas.

Today, HDI’s broad range of products also includes telephone entry systems, CCTV, and custom security application design services for commercial and residential properties. We continue in our mission to be the design and manufacturing company of choice for Architects, Engineers, Property Developers and Managers, and Contractors specifying or purchasing innovative, cost effective and customer specified products in the intercom, emergency call and access control products marketplace.
